2017 was the year for me to start speaking to schools. I was invited to be a guest speaker at my alumni college in New York City: Baruch. I spoke to a Music Business class about starting and running a business in the music industry. Looking back at my speech, I already know what I will do differently next time. I get so excited for the opportunity to stand in front of a group of people to make them feel empowered to set their goals higher. I think I wanted to tell them everything that I learned in life in the 90 minute session and looking back, I couldn't have focused on a fewer more important topics. That is why we put our selves out there and do things like this, to get better!
Basically, my goal was to inspire these college students to be bold in their career choices and let them know that whatever it is that they want is possible. We always hear no and that won't work, I want to be that person who always shares the bright side. Well, someone has to do it!
